This notice explains what personal data we collect when you buy a ticket to ShareStock, why we collect it and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
ShareStock is owned and operated by SPI Research Ltd, which is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect

We do not collect your card details. Payments are processed by Stripe, and card numbers never reach our servers.
Our lawful bases
- Performance of a contract — for everything needed to sell you a ticket and admit you to the event.
- Legal obligation — for keeping sales and tax records.
- Legitimate interests — for site security and for running the event safely. We only rely on this where it does not override your rights.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — card payments.
- Amazon Web Services (SES, London region) — sending your ticket and event emails.
- DigitalOcean — hosting. Our server is in London.
- Cloudflare — serving the website, which means it handles your IP address in transit.
These suppliers process data on our instructions. Some may transfer data outside the UK; where they do, they are required to use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. We do not share your details with speakers, sponsors or other attendees.
Cookies
This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies, and there is nothing to opt into. The ticketing system at tickets.sharestock.co.uk sets two strictly necessary cookies — one to keep you signed in to your order and one to protect the checkout form against cross-site request forgery. Both are required for checkout to work.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to another provider. You can also object to processing we carry out under legitimate interests. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date below.
